Hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani, who has coloured her hair platinum blonde and herself sports short hair, says that she gets customers almost everyday “who want to hack it all off ”. “If you have long hair and keep it tied up all the time, then it does nothing to your face. Short hair frames the face and enhances your features,” says the stylist, who has given Bips and Mandy their cut.Hairstylist Aalim feels that women having become vocal about their needs now. “Gone are the days when only long hair was said to be feminine. Short hair makes you look energetic, fresh and hot,” says Aalim, who feels that the clothes and shoes should also match with the hair cut. “If you are going for a classy bob than you need to be classy in your dressing too, like Preity Zinta or Victoria Beckham,” he says.And is the short hair only meant for slim women? “It need not be like that. Look at rapper Missy Elliot, she’s big but looks cool in short hair,” says Aalim.
